When your system does not power up, one of the following things could be happening:
- Power adapter failure.
- A hardware failure.
- System needs a simple restart.
Make sure that your power source is functional and use a 12V Power Supply (As much as possible we want to use the 12V CLA included with R41). This is very important as electrical faults are not covered under warranty.
Test something else that you know works with the same power source. If the issue persists, please reach out to your point of sale for support.
These are the 3 important things to note when installing a CEL-FI R41:
1. We strictly want to only use a 12V power supply/CLA (Included with R41)
Please note: if you are going to use a 24V power supply, you will need to use 24V-12V DC-to-DC converter. This can be purchased through Powertec Website https://powertec.com.au/buy/victron-orion-tr-24-12-5-60w-dc-dc-converter/
2. Do not power up the unit without the donor and service antennas connected (this can blow the power amplifier)
3. Grounding the casing is highly recommended to protect the product. This will discharge excess electricity safely to the earth. R41 comes with a 30cm cable attaches to the R41 grounding point using the supplied M3 screw, and then the other end should be attached/tapped or installed to the vehicle's chassis or common ground)
R41 Power specification:
Input Voltage: 12V
Input Current: 1.5A
Consumption: 18W Max (12W Nominal)
