There will be always three reasons for this error
- Tower signal got poor and sitting below the Cel-Fi's operational level.
- Antenna or cable got faulty or pointing in the wrong direction.
- The unit is faulty.
To determine where is the fault please follow the elimination process below.
1. Test the tower signal using the phone
- Hold the phone as close as possible to the external antenna. If there's no antenna in use then hold the phone next to NU.
- Put the phone in tech mode to measure the RSRP/RSCP and compare it with the Cel-Fi operational threshold. Link for How to open tech mode

- If within the threshold then the Tower signal is okay, otherwise the tower signal is not enough for Cel-Fi.
2. Test the antenna system
- For PRO units: Detach the antenna connection from the unit and place the WU/NU near the external antenna or somewhere the phones are receiving a good signal. If the Cel-Fi starts picking up the signal then the Donor antenna is faulty. Otherwise, the unit is suspected faulty.
- For GO units: Swap the Donor antenna and cable with the Service antenna and cable. If the cel-fi starts picking up the signal then the Donor antenna is faulty. Otherwise, the unit is suspected faulty.
3. The unit suspected faulty.
- If the tower signal and antenna system tested okay then we suspect the unit is faulty.
