Backup
- Maintenance > Backup and Restore: click Backup
- A file will be downloaded with the config
- Take note of the location where the file is saved to use in future / relocate the file to secure storage.
Restore
- Maintenance > Backup and Restore: Click Browse, select the configuration file, click Open
- Click Import
- Wait till the configuration is uploaded. You will need to login again - keep in mind that the router now have new configuration so you will need to know the details in that config to access the router.
Warning:
* Do NOT use a config file to restore settings unless you know what is in the file. This may result in router being inaccessible afterwards.
** It is always a good practice to backup the router's current configuration before uploading a new configuration.
*** In the event the router is inaccessible, perform a hardware reset.
Hardware Reset:
- Locate the Reset Button on the router and take corresponding actions based on the status of System LED
- Blinking : Press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds
- Static Green -> Rapidly blinking : Release the button and wait
- Off -> Blinking : The router is now reset to Factory Defaults.
Finding out new router IP:
There are several ways to find out the router IP address:
1) Connect router directly to a laptop
2) Open Command Prompt, run command ipconfig, find the default gateway for the router connection
Alternatively navigate to the property of the Network Connection.
